About the business

Our client is an established boutique marketing communications agency based in Kent, working with businesses across branding, marketing strategy, product launches and marketing-led sales support.

The business is now expanding its digital offering and developing a range of new online products and resources designed to help businesses improve how they build and market their brands.

As part of this growth, they are looking for a Marketing Apprentice to work closely with an experienced marketing professional while developing practical skills across branding, digital marketing, content, campaigns and product marketing.

What you'll be learning and doing

This is a varied role designed to give you exposure to a broad range of marketing activities. You won't be expected to arrive knowing how to do everything – you'll receive training and support before gradually taking on greater responsibility.

As your skills develop, you'll learn how to:

·       Support the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns across social media, email, digital content and other channels.

·       Help develop brand messaging, tone of voice and visual content for new products and projects.

·       Create and schedule content including social posts, emails, blogs, videos and digital marketing materials.

·       Support the development and launch of new digital products.

·       Research audiences, competitors, marketing channels and potential opportunities.

·       Help develop landing pages, customer journeys and campaigns designed to generate engagement and enquiries.

·       Learn how marketing performance is measured using analytics, campaign data and KPIs.

·       Support reporting and identify opportunities to improve marketing activity.

·       Assist with partner, influencer, ambassador and collaborative marketing activity.

·       Work with external partners and creative suppliers where appropriate.

·       Attend occasional meetings, networking opportunities and events, including some in London.

·       Gradually take greater ownership of marketing projects as your knowledge and confidence develop.

These areas are based on the original responsibilities around content, product launches, acquisition, partnerships and performance analysis, but pitched at the right developmental level for an apprentice.

What we're looking for

Previous professional marketing experience is not required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, creativity and willingness to learn.

Ideally, you'll have:

·       GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.

·       A genuine interest in marketing, branding, social media, digital content or business.

·       Good written and verbal communication skills.

·       A creative mindset and an eye for how brands communicate.

·       Confidence using computers and everyday digital tools.

·       Good organisation and time-management skills.

·       A willingness to use your initiative and contribute ideas.

·       Good attention to detail.

·       A positive attitude towards learning and feedback.

·       The confidence to communicate with different people, including clients and external partners.

·       The ability to work independently when working from home as well as collaboratively with others.

Experience using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Excel or social media platforms would be useful, but isn't essential.

Personal projects, college work, volunteering, running your own social accounts or creating content outside of work can all be relevant. You do not need to already be an experienced marketer.

About the apprenticeship

Alongside your role, you'll complete the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship, developing practical knowledge and skills across areas including campaign planning, content, digital marketing, customer journeys, analytics, marketing communications and campaign evaluation.

Training takes place during your paid working hours and combines structured workshops, one-to-one coaching, online learning and practical development in the workplace.

You'll also complete the CIM Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing, an additional professional marketing qualification worth approximately £500, included as part of the programme at no cost to you.

The aim is to develop you from somebody starting their marketing career into someone capable of confidently supporting, delivering and eventually taking ownership of marketing activity across multiple channels.
