What it is

Career-driven candidates, already sourced and screened

We source and screen ambitious people who want a marketing career through an apprenticeship. Before they're placed, they're on our books, actively looking — and most employers never hear about them until the role is filled.

Talent Matching changes that: tell us where your business is, and we'll show you who's within reach right now — then keep you posted as new candidates join near you. There's no fee and no commitment; when someone catches your eye, we make the introduction and sort the funding.

How it works

Four steps, one form

1

Tell us where you are

Your name, company, work email and business postcode — that's the whole form.

2

See who's near you, instantly

Straight away you'll see the candidates actively looking within reach of your business — first name, area and distance — with the same list sent to your inbox.

3

Fresh candidates every Thursday

Whenever someone new joins our books in your area, you'll hear about it that Thursday. No new candidates near you? No email — we don't send noise.

4

Like the look of someone? Talk to us

Book a call and we'll make the introduction, handle the funding paperwork, and get them contributing in your team — most employers pay little or nothing.

Recruitment

How we recruit your apprentice

Most training providers train the apprentice you found. We find them too, at no charge, and it is the part of what we do that employers tell us they did not expect.

How do you find marketing apprentice candidates?
We recruit continuously rather than starting from scratch when a vacancy appears, so there is usually a pool already in place near you. Candidates come to us through schools and colleges, through careers services, and directly — people who have decided they want a marketing career and would rather earn while they train than take a degree. Everyone on our books has applied to us, not been scraped from a job board.
How are candidates screened before I see them?
We interview every candidate before they go on our books, and we are looking for the things that do not show up on a CV at this age: whether they can hold a conversation, whether they have actually thought about marketing as a career, and whether they will still be there in eighteen months. We check they meet the funding eligibility rules too, because an apprentice who is not eligible is not a hire, however good they are.
What do you decide, and what do I decide?
You decide who you hire. Always. We source, screen and shortlist, and we will tell you honestly what we think — but we do not place anybody. You interview whoever you want to interview, and you make the offer, exactly as you would for any other junior hire.
How long does it take to hire a marketing apprentice?
If there are candidates near you already, introductions can happen the same week and you could be interviewing within a fortnight. If we need to recruit specifically for you, allow four to six weeks to shortlist. Enrolment and funding paperwork runs alongside the notice period, so it rarely adds time to the start date.
What does the recruitment cost?
Nothing. We do not charge a placement fee, a retainer or a percentage of salary. It is part of the training relationship — we would rather place the right person and train them than earn a fee on the wrong one.
What happens if the apprentice does not work out?
Tell us early. Most of the time it is fixable and we would rather coach through it than lose someone six months in. When it genuinely is not the right fit, we will help you find a replacement at no cost, and we will be straight with you about whether an apprentice is the right answer for the role at all.

What the recruitment felt like from their side

Recruiting the right marketing support felt overwhelming and time-consuming, especially in an area outside our expertise. Working with The Marketing Trainer removed that uncertainty completely. Our apprentice has since transformed our marketing — growing social media, creating campaigns that generate real client enquiries, and becoming a confident, proactive member of the team.

Who would be training them

The Marketing Trainer is the trading name of Game-On Coaching Limited (company number 09946328), listed on the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register under UKPRN 10092406 and approved by the Chartered Institute of Marketing to deliver its qualifications.

We deliver the Multi-channel marketer (level 3) apprenticeship fully remotely, to employers anywhere in England. Our base is in Coventry; your apprentice trains from your workplace.

We are an approved CIM apprenticeship provider and embed the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing into the Multi-channel marketer (level 3) apprenticeship, so apprentices finish with both the apprenticeship and a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.

Ofsted inspected us on 19 May 2026 and judged us to reach the Strong standard for Achievement and Curriculum and teaching. Read our Ofsted report card.

In 2025/26, 92% of our apprentices achieved their apprenticeship — 34 of 37 — against a national average of 65%. All 34 who achieved gained a merit or distinction, and 62% achieved a distinction. See how we worked those figures out.

We help employers find the right apprentice, not just train them. See the candidates near your business.
