Hire a marketing apprentice in Leamington Spa

Games studios, agencies and professional firms — we help Leamington employers build marketing capability from our base ten minutes down the road in Coventry.

Leamington has an unusual business mix for a town its size: one of the UK's densest clusters of video-games development, a strong agency and creative scene alongside it, and a base of professional and owner-managed firms that has been there far longer than either. It also sits inside the Coventry and Warwick travel-to-work area, which makes it one of the easier places in the region to recruit into.

What most of those businesses have in common is that marketing is either everybody's job or nobody's. An apprentice makes it somebody's.

This works well for Leamington employers who are

  • Games studios and tech businesses who need community, content and campaign work done consistently rather than in bursts around a release
  • Agencies building junior capability instead of buying it in at senior rates
  • Professional firms — legal, financial, property — where marketing sits awkwardly between partners and admin
  • Owner-managed businesses in the town whose marketing has never had a dedicated person

Recruitment is included

We source and shortlist candidates for you at no cost, and Leamington draws on both the Coventry and Warwick pools, so the shortlist is usually deeper than employers expect. See who is currently available near your postcode on the talent matching page.

What your apprentice learns

Our Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship covers marketing theory, understanding your customer, marketing planning, campaign management with data analysis, marketing tactics including website, SEO and email, content creation, branding and marketing sustainability — with a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification embedded at no extra cost. Teaching is delivered remotely, so nobody loses a day a week to travel. See the full twelve-month journey.

What it costs

For apprentices under 25, the training is 100% government-funded — you pay nothing towards it. For apprentices aged 25 and over, it's 95% funded. Depending on who you hire, you may also qualify for hiring incentives worth thousands, including the Youth Jobs Grant.

The three worked examples on what a marketing apprentice costs will give you a figure in about a minute, or we can give you exact numbers for your business on a call.

About the provider

The Marketing Trainer is the trading name of Game-On Coaching Limited (company number 09946328), listed on the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register under UKPRN 10092406 and approved by the Chartered Institute of Marketing to deliver its qualifications.

We are an approved CIM apprenticeship provider and embed the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing into the Multi-channel marketer (level 3) apprenticeship, so apprentices finish with both the apprenticeship and a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.

Ofsted inspected us on 19 May 2026 and judged us to reach the Strong standard for Achievement and Curriculum and teaching. Read the full report card.

In 2025/26, 92% of our apprentices achieved their apprenticeship — 34 of 37 — against a national average of 65%. All 34 who achieved gained a merit or distinction, and 62% achieved a distinction. See how we worked those figures out.

We help employers find the right apprentice, not just train them. See the candidates near your business.
