The Marketing
Trainer
Wolverhampton & the Black Country

Hire a marketing apprentice in Wolverhampton

We help Wolverhampton and Black Country employers recruit and train marketing talent — with funding, training and admin handled.

Wolverhampton and the wider Black Country have an engineering and manufacturing base that is genuinely world-class and, fairly often, genuinely invisible. Businesses with decades of expertise and serious technical capability lose work to competitors who are simply easier to find and easier to understand.

That's a marketing problem, and it's a solvable one. An apprentice gives you someone in the building whose job is to make what you do legible to the people buying it.

This works well for Wolverhampton employers who are

  • Engineering and manufacturing firms in the aerospace or automotive supply chain who need to be found by procurement teams
  • Construction, trades and industrial services businesses competing on more than price
  • Businesses recruiting hard, where employer brand and a decent careers page directly affect who applies
  • SMEs who know their website and search presence are holding them back but have nobody to own it

Recruitment is included

We source and shortlist candidates for you at no cost. The University of Wolverhampton and the region's colleges produce more people wanting a route into marketing than there are structured opportunities for them. See who's currently available near your postcode on the talent matching page.

What your apprentice learns

Our Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship covers marketing theory, understanding your customer, marketing planning, campaign management with data analysis, marketing tactics including website, SEO and email, content creation, branding and marketing sustainability — with a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification embedded at no extra cost. See the full twelve-month journey.

What it costs

For apprentices under 25, the training is 100% government-funded — you pay nothing towards it. For apprentices aged 25 and over, it's 95% funded. Depending on who you hire, you may also qualify for hiring incentives worth thousands, including the Youth Jobs Grant.

The ROI calculator will give you a rough figure in about a minute, or we can give you exact numbers for your business on a call.

About the provider

The Marketing Trainer is the trading name of Game-On Coaching Limited (company number 09946328), listed on the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register under UKPRN 10092406 and approved by the Chartered Institute of Marketing to deliver its qualifications.

We deliver the Multi-channel marketer (level 3) apprenticeship fully remotely, to employers anywhere in England. Our base is in Coventry; your apprentice trains from your workplace.

We are an approved CIM apprenticeship provider and embed the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing into the Multi-channel marketer (level 3) apprenticeship, so apprentices finish with both the apprenticeship and a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.

Ofsted inspected us on 19 May 2026 and judged us to reach the Strong standard for Achievement and Curriculum and teaching. Read our Ofsted report card.

In 2025/26, 92% of our apprentices achieved their apprenticeship — 34 of 37 — against a national average of 65%. All 34 who achieved gained a merit or distinction, and 62% achieved a distinction. See how we worked those figures out.

We help employers find the right apprentice, not just train them. See the candidates near your business.
